System error 43:10 is generated when the vacuum fan is plugged into the electronic module but has failed. Causes of this error can include the vacuum fan or the electronics module. Follow the steps listed below to accurately troubleshoot the issue, and replace the appropriate parts.

NOTE: If removal and installation instructions are needed for reference during any repairs performed, refer to the 500/800 Series Service Manual available on the Computer Care Web site for review or download.
If any of the troubleshooting steps listed below solve the problem, attempt to verify printer functionality (instructions below). If functionality is verified, no additional parts should be replaced.
NOTE: Always verify the printer's current firmware release and upgrade as needed.
NOTE: If media is loaded, the vacuum fan should start in approximately 50 seconds. If no media is loaded the printer will prompt to load media. Load a sheet of media to engage the fan.
